Frequently Asked Questions

What resolution do I need for print?

For standard print quality, use 300 DPI. This means an 8.5×11 inch flyer needs 2550×3300 pixels. For large posters viewed from a distance, 150 DPI is sufficient. For billboards, 30 DPI works since they're viewed far away.

What resolution for Instagram?

Instagram posts: 1080×1080px (square), Instagram Stories: 1080×1920px (vertical). Instagram compresses images, but starting at these sizes ensures good quality.

What's the difference between 2x and 4x upscaling?

2x upscaling doubles your image dimensions (500px becomes 1000px). 4x quadruples them (500px becomes 2000px). Use 2x for moderate improvements, 4x when you need maximum quality or started with a very low-res image.

Can I upscale a small image to print quality?

AI upscaling can help, but it can't create detail that wasn't there originally. A 100px image won't become a sharp poster. Start with at least 500-1000px for best AI upscaling results.
